And suddenly you notice something. It can be anything: a sentence, a feeling, a place or a sound. Something that catches your attention and moves you or makes you think.

No matter what it is, writing a song is always special. It opens doors to your inner self and to the outside world. In the songwriting workshop we’ll look at ways to shape an idea into something that expresses your own sentiments and attitudes. We’ll work with the input you provide.

We’ll approach the writing process step by step, because songwriting is something you can learn. We’ll structure our thoughts, work on lyrics and develop melodies. Playful exercises will help us overcome our fear of the blank page. We’ll also get inspired by the way other artists deal with lyrics, melody and composition. Everyone who sings or plays an instrument is welcome to participate.
