WORKSHOP
In this workshop, we will expand the way we listen and stimulate our creativity by improvising. We will explore tools for developing a personal sound and collaborating with other players, expanding both our performing and compositional material.

Focusing on intervallic ideations, rhythmic work, gestures and textures, we seek to expand our vocabulary and improve our listening skills and real-time decision making.

By trying out exercises that can be incorporated into our daily routines we aim to find new creative ways to practice and improvise. We’ll explore different formats ranging from large ensembles to solo settings and focus especially on collective creation.

I will also introduce graphic notation as a tool for expressing and developing compositional ideas.

The workshop is open to musicians of all instruments interested in deepening their relationship with improvisation, experimentation, and composition.
